Planning a wedding can be a tedious task especially when you are trying to literally do everything yourself. I don’t have a lot of friends due to me being shy, and not originally from Philadelphia. However, when it came time for my wedding, I recruited my baby sister to be my maid of honor who was also graduating from High School two days before my wedding. I come from a mixed background such as, Hispanic, West Indian, half Caucasian / Indian and my family is huge! I wanted everyone to attend my wedding, but we don't always get what we want, right? Family circumstances at the time prevented that from happening especially with the lost of one brother, and the other just decided not to come at all.
With so many things going wrong at once, heaven sent me an angel....Venis. The day that she decided to take on my wedding was a blessing! I gained more than a planner / coordinator that day...I gained a confidant, a friend, and a total blessing in disguise. I got a well-planned wedding and so much more that I didn't even think was possible. I’m so happy that she got to share my day with me, and I was impressed by so much of what she did in a short amount of time. The invitations that she did were done with such a personal touch and elegant feel for me. My guests and I loved them. The programs were phenomenal, and were done in our wedding colors, which were baby blue and ivory.
Venis, my wedding coordinator, even showed some impressive organizational skills as she managed to plan around everyone’s schedules especially those who were coming from out of town, as she planned the entire wedding rehearsal for me and my wedding party. She even kept track of each RSVP. The way that she managed to get the wedding party to the church and expertly planned for the bridal party and the groomsmen to be in separate locations of the church, before the wedding, was amazing!
She coordinated the church decorations in our colors. She organized my whole day just the way I had envisioned it! She did all of that without me having to stress over any minor details and that was a blessing; not to mention, it was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders, which made my day that more special and stress free! Here we are five years later, and she will be helping me to plan the renewal of my wedding vows as well.
